First time in Searing Gorge?
Searing Gorge has no required quest. Enter through the Badlands pass or through Blackrock Mountain from the Burning Steppes, then find the Thorium Point flight point.
- Horde: from Kargath in the Badlands go south to about the middle of the map, then west through the pass. Alliance: ride from Loch Modan into the Badlands and take the rough road southwest to the same pass.
- Alternative: enter the Burning Steppes from Redridge Mountains, then go through Blackrock Mountain to the gate on the far side.
- Alliance only, optional: the Loch Modan gate needs the Key to Searing Gorge. You can earn it only after you have entered the zone another way (a quest chain at level 48). Or die by the gate and walk in as a ghost.
- At Thorium Point, find the flight master to learn the flight point.
Quests, places and sources
Not confirmed:
- Quest names in the key chain: the sources give different starting points (The Horn of the Beast, At Last!).
- Entrance coordinates and the Thorium Point flight master name: neither source gives them.
- Whether the same applies in WoW Forever, Classic Anniversary and MoP Classic: sources describe Classic Era.
