Privacy policy

Last updated October 15, 2026

Gryphon Atlas is operated by Lucent Enterprises Ltd. (329 Howe St, Unit #800, Vancouver, BC V6C 3N2, Canada). There are no accounts and no sign-in, and we do not sell personal information.

What we collect

  • Server and network logs. Our host, Cloudflare, receives your IP address, browser type, the page address you ask for (including any search words or route choices in it) and the time. It uses them to deliver the site and stop abuse.
  • Sampled request logs. We keep a sample of about 1 in 20 requests (page address, IP address and the approximate location Cloudflare derives from it) for up to 7 days to find faults, then Cloudflare deletes it.
  • Search limits. To stop abuse, we count search requests per IP address (per block of IPv6 addresses) for one minute. The count is not kept after that.
  • Search and route finder. Your search words and route choices are in the page address. We do not save them anywhere else, but Google Analytics, where it is on, receives the page address with them.

Where your data goes

Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site and processes this data for us in the United States and in other countries where it runs servers. Laws there may let local authorities ask for it.

How long we keep it

Sampled request logs: up to 7 days. Search counts: one minute. Email you send us: as long as we need to answer it, then up to 2 years.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages help, and Cloudflare Web Analytics for page load times. Cloudflare Web Analytics sets no cookies. Google Analytics uses cookies that can recognize your browser.

  • In the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and Quebec, Google Analytics stays off, and sends nothing to Google, until you choose Accept. Reject keeps it off.
  • Elsewhere it is on, and you can turn it off at any time with "Privacy choices" at the bottom of every page.
  • Your choice is saved in your browser (local storage on this site) so we do not ask again. We never see who made it, and the site works the same either way.
  • Google processes this data for us in the United States and other countries where it runs servers. We keep Google Analytics data for 14 months. How Google uses data from sites that use its services: policies.google.com.

The site shows no ads today. Before we add ads, we will update this page, ask for consent where the law requires it, and name each provider here.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent. Write to hello@gryphonatlas.com; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the BC Information and Privacy Commissioner, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, or your local data protection authority.

We date each change at the top of this page.
